What is EMR / EHR ?

EMR - Electronic Medical Record and EHR, Electronic Health Record, are tools being purchased by health care facilities on a national and international scale.

With governing factors such as, Meaningful Use, Federal stimulus and CMS incentives applying to implementing facilities that install an approved electronic medical record system to comply with 
the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act,  a
vast number of employment opportunities exist
in this growing, but relatively new career field. 

Only a handful of pioneering software companies exist that manufacture and sell EHR systems to health care facilities, but, under Federal mandates, every health care facility in the United States must purchase and install an electronic record system.
